When I was posting my observations about Nikki's user experience I had some problems. Other people will have them too, so I'd like to get them sorted sometime.

The main one has to do with layout. It is annoying to write something whihc has paragraphs and then discover that the paragraphs have disappeared. I know what to do about that now - but it is not obvious.

There are three related problems.

1 - the default for formatting the comments is set to plain text (I think it should at least be filtered HTML)

2 - The fact that you might need to alter the format is not obvious until after the comment has been sent (and the paragraphing has vanished)

3- The way that you change the formatting is not obvious - unless you are a techie kind of person and know what you are looking for.

I need to find out if it is possible to have the default changed, and consider a couple of other things related to choice between full and filtered HTML which Ryan has given me useful information about.
